Successful MOIROLÓI Europe Tour 2024 Premiere at Greek National Opera

ATHENS, 29/4/2024 - On Palm Sunday (28/4), the concert MOIROLÓI | A Lament for the Living captivated audiences in the bustling hall of the Alternative Stage at the National Opera House, SNFCC, as part of the 2nd Festival of Worship Music. Led by CoGNiMUS Artistic Director and conductor Yorgos Ziavras, the CoGNiMUS orchestra delivered a mesmerizing performance. Among the attendees were President of the Hellenic Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou and Giorgos Koumentakis, Artistic Director of the GNO.

Conducted by Yorgos Ziavras, the German orchestra CoGNiMUS Collektiv showcased MOIROLÓI to resounding success. President Sakellaropoulou graced the event with her presence, offering enthusiastic praise to the conductor post-concert.

Renowned vocalist George Merantzas delivered a captivating rendition of the Epirotic segments, while Savvas Siatras impressed with his rendition of the dirge "Margiola," exhibiting exceptional style and tone. Adding to the allure, the polyphonic ensemble "CHAONIA" surprised the audience with a traditional Epirus polyphonic piece.
